Emerald Eyes is a limited-run clothing brand from Richmond, Virginia, that also makes accessories and jewelry. Grayson Murray started designing the first pieces in mid-2024.

01 / Inventory
Built as a limited-run clothing brand
EE keeps inventory low on purpose. Grayson holds one or two zip-ups per size and a batch of printed transfers. When an order comes in, he presses the piece, ships it, and reorders by the unit.
For a limited-run clothing brand, dead stock is the fastest way to lose money, and this model avoids it. Blank garments also limit what a hoodie can say, though, because someone else chose the cut and fabric. That pushed the brand toward pieces it can make from scratch.

02 / The next drop
The silver cross
The next drop moves into jewelry: a silver cross pendant on a chain, made in a very small run. Grayson drew the cross from the Maltese and St. John cross, then softened the points with lines from Roman and Greek stonework.
He printed the first model in castable resin before sending it to a bench jeweler. The cross drew the strongest response on the hoodies, so it anchors the jewelry line. Read the full story in Why the Cross Came First.

03 / The standard
One test for every piece
Before anything ships, it has to answer one question.
Does this feel inevitable, or does it feel performative?
If it feels performative, it doesn’t ship. The test covers the clothes, the photos, and the copy. It also sits inside the brand operating system as a rule the agents check against.
